Kolkata, Dec. 20 -- : Four Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters were killed and another seriously injured after being hit by a train in Nadia district while on their way to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally at Taherpur on Saturday morning.
According to police and local sources, the incident occurred between Taherpur and Badkulla railway stations on the Krishnanagar-Ranaghat section.
The victims were part of a group of around 40 BJP supporters who had hired a bus to travel from Murshidabad to Taherpur to attend the Prime Minister's administrative meeting and public rally in the Matua-dominated Ranaghat Lok Sabha constituency.
