Kushinagar (UP), May 24 -- Four persons, including two women, were sentenced to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 35,000 each by a local court here on Saturday in a two-year-old murder case in Kasya area of Kushinagar district here in Uttar Pradesh, a prosecution counsel said here.

District Government Counsel (Criminal) GP Yadav said that Madhuri Gupta, a resident of Mathauli Bazar, submitted a complaint to the police on September 17, 2023 alleging that on the night of September 16, his uncle Rajendra Gupta, along with his son Satish, wife Aarti and elder daughter-in-law Ragini, killed her father Rudal with a spade over a land dispute.
