Hamirpur(HP), Feb. 4 -- Forty-two milk societies have been formed in the district and in order to promote milk production and develop a well-planned chain for milk procurement and collection, the state government has set a target of forming at least one milk cooperative society in every panchayat in Hamirpur district as well.
Deputy Commissioner Gandharva Rathore said this while reviewing the progress of the formation of milk societies in a meeting with officers of the Animal Husbandry Department, Cooperative Department, Milk Federation, and other concerned departments on Wednesday.
