Thane, Oct. 31 -- A forty-five-year-old man died after a fire broke out in his fourth-floor flat in a four-storey residential building in Thane city late on Wednesday night. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot following an emergency alert and managed to bring the situation under control by Thursday morning.
According to Yasin Tadvi, Disaster Management Officer of the Thane Municipal Corporation, the fire control room received information regarding the blaze in a fourth-floor flat. Fire personnel immediately reached the building and found the resident, identified as forty-five-year-old Sachin Nikam, trapped inside the smoke-filled apartment.
