Chennai, Sept. 24 -- Former Joint Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Chess Association (TNCA), a goodtrainer and a renowned arbiter K Thirukaalathi died here last evening following a heart attack.
He was 70.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Thirukalathy, who had produced several players, had also served as the Secretary of the KancheepuramDistrict Chess Association and always had a close rapport with the media.
