Jaipur, Oct. 4 -- Former Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Girraj Prasad Tiwari passed away due to natueal causes at the age of 105.
He breathed his last around 01:30 am on intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
Born in the year 1920 in Bidyari village of Bayana sub division in the Bharatpur district, Tiwari had begun his career as a lawyer, following which he entered the political arena to become Panchayat Samiti Pradhan once, Zila Pramukh once and the state assembly member twice.
He had served as the Assembly Deputy Speaker from March 29, 1985 to January 31, 1986 and then as the Speaker from January 31, 1986 - March 11, 1990, during his term as MLA between 1985-1990.
