Kalyan, Oct. 18 -- Former Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) corporator Umesh Morgavkar was beaten up by a mob today while he was trying to mediate in a fight. This assault on the ruling party's former corporator has created tension in the city. Along with Morgavkar, two others were also injured in the attack, one of whom is in critical condition.
A quarrel had broken out in front of Morgavkar's office, where some unidentified men were assaulting Dnyaneshwar Sapate and his son Omkar. Morgavkar intervened and managed to stop the fight, after which the attackers fled the spot.
