Itanagar, Nov. 25 -- Former Registrar and Controller of Examinations of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Tai Nyori, passed away on Monday night at a hospital in Guwahati following a prolonged illness.
He was 78.
A revered academician, pioneering administrator and stalwart of Arunachal Pradesh's literary and cultural landscape, Nyori breathed his last at around 10:30 pm, sources at RGU confirmed. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
Born on January 1, 1947, at Peru village (near present-day Rilu) in Leparada district of Arunachal Pradesh, Dr Nyori completed his schooling at Along High School and graduated from St Anthony's College and St Edmund's College in Shillong.
