Chandigarh, Oct. 31 -- Former Punjab Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Harcharan Singh Bhullar, arrested in a bribery case, was produced before the CBI Court via video conferencing after his earlier remand period ended.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) did not seek further custody, following which the court sent him to 14-day judicial custody. He will now appear before the CBI Court again on November 14.

Bhullar was arrested in connection with a Rs 5 lakh bribery case involving a Mandi Gobindgarh-based businessman. The CBI is also investigating allegations of disproportionate assets against him.
