Lucknow, July 18 -- As India prepares to commemorate the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, has announced a special gift that connects legacy with progress - the transformation of Bateshwar, Atal Ji's ancestral village in Agra, into a prominent spiritual and heritage tourism destination.



The Department of Tourism has rolled out development projects worth Rs 27 crore, aiming to upgrade basic infrastructure, boost pilgrim experience, and position Bateshwar on the national tourism map. Known for its ancient cluster of 101 Shiva temples, Bateshwar is not only a place of religious importance but also a living symbol of Atal Ji's values and roots.
