Islamabad, March 28 -- Former Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa passed away on Saturday after suffering severe head injuries from a fall, according to close family members who spoke to Islamabad Post.
The 65-year-old had been admitted to Rawalpindi Military Hospital in February following a slip in his washroom that resulted in multiple head injuries.
The incident, which occurred in February 2026, resulted in multiple head injuries.
Doctors performed major surgery shortly after his admission, and he was kept under close observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
