Hyderabad, Oct. 1 -- Senior Congress leader and former MP V Hanumantha Rao urged the Backward Classes (BCs) to unite and seize the opportunity for 42 per cent reservation in local elections, education, and employment.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, he highlighted the efforts of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who walked 4,500 kilometres before the elections to understand the needs of the poor and weaker sections of society.
Hanumantha Rao said that if Congress comes to power, it is committed to doing justice to the BCs through a caste and population census.
