Aizawl, May 2 -- Veteran Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Ronald Sapa Tlau was laid to rest on Friday following a solemn and well-attended funeral service at his residence in Zonuam locality of Aizawl. He was 71. Tlau passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, following complications after undergoing bypass heart surgery. Family members said doctors were unable to stop post-operative bleeding, which led to a massive loss of blood and a subsequent cardiac arrest. His body was flown back to Mizoram on Thursday, where it was received at Lengpui Airport by senior leaders and workers of the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC).
