Mumbai, March 9 -- Concern has been raised over repeated industrial accidents in chemical factories at the Lote MIDC industrial area in Ratnagiri district, with the Konkan Environment Protection Action Committee calling for an independent investigation into the matter.
The demand follows another explosion reported on Friday at Dr Khan Chemicals, in which five workers were injured. The injured employees are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai, while the company has allegedly not issued any clear explanation regarding the incident.
