Chennai, Jan. 4 -- Veteran DMK Leader and ruling DMK's High Level Action Committee memberL Ganesan, who was hailed as the Lieutenant of the AntiHindi Movement in Tamil Naduwhen it was atits peak and was imprisoned under the draconian MISA during Emergency, passed away on Sunday aftera prolonged illnees.
Hailed as the veteran Dravidian ideologue, he was 92.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
Mr Ganesan, fondly called as 'LG', was suffering from some health issues due to old age, before he breathedhis last today at his residence in native Thanjavur district.
After political party leaders and public paid their last respects to the departed soul, the last rites of LG wouldbe performed tomorrow, family sources said.
