Thiruvananthapuram, July 3 -- Former Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan, who was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of SUT Hospital, following a heart attack, continues to remain in a critical condition.

In addition to the medical team at SUT Hospital, a special team of seven specialists from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College is also monitoring his health condition, hospital sources said.

The medical board has decided to continue the ongoing treatment, including ventilator support, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and antibiotics, with provisions to make necessary adjustments as required.

A meeting of the medical board was also held to evaluate the former chief minister's health status.
