Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur referred to Lucknow in critical condition

Lucknow, Jan. 8 -- Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur was referred from Gorakhpur Medical College to Lucknow late Wednesday night due to a serious deterioration in his health.

He is currently undergoing treatment at the Cardiology Department of Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI).

According to sources, Thakur's condition remains critical. A special team of four doctors is continuously monitoring his health and providing treatment. In view of a suspected heart attack, all routine medical tests are being conducted again.
