Chandigarh, Dec. 30 -- A woman was found murdered at her residence in Mohali's Phase-5 area, triggering shock in the locality. The victim has been identified as Ashok Goyal, the wife of former additional advocate general of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Krishan Kumar Goyal. Police said the woman was allegedly strangled to death.
The crime came to light on Wednesday morning when a domestic help arrived at the house for routine work. Upon entering, she discovered Ashok Goyal lying motionless and immediately alerted the police.
During the initial inspection, officers found the family's domestic servant tied to a chair inside the house.
