Hyderabad, Dec. 29 -- Former Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) attended the Telangana Assembly on Monday after a prolonged absence.
He had stayed away from the Assembly for several months following the BRS's defeat in the December 2023 elections.
His absence had drawn sharp criticism from the ruling Congress, which questioned his role and commitment as Leader of the Opposition.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and senior Congress leaders had repeatedly challenged KCR to attend the Assembly, turning the issue into a major political flashpoint.
