Kochi, Sept. 27 -- YouTuber KM Shajahan, once the trusted aide of late Kerala Chief Minister and veteran CPI(M) leader V.S. Achuthanandan and now a fiery political commentator, has walked free on bail a day after his dramatic arrest in a cyber-harassment case that has ignited a storm over freedom of expression in Kerala.

Shajahan, who runs the popular YouTube channel 'Prathipaksham', was taken into custody on September 25 from his residence at Akkulam, Thiruvananthapuram, and produced before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.

The court, while granting him conditional bail on September 26, noted that there was not enough ground to warrant continued custody at this stage of the investigation.
