New Delhi, July 16 -- Former Chief Justice of India Justice Sanjiv Khanna has been appointed as a Distinguished Professor at Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, the university announced.
Justice Khanna, who served as the 51st Chief Justice of India, retired on May 13, 2025. Elevated to the Supreme Court on January 18, 2019, he held several prominent positions during his judicial tenure, earning wide respect for his erudition, balanced judgments, and commitment to constitutional values.
