Itanagar, July 9 -- In a tragic incident, former Arunachal Pradesh MLA Kapchen Rajkumar passed away early this morning in a suspected wild elephant attack between the Namsang and Deomali areas in the Tirap district. He was 65.
Born on April 15, 1960, in Namsang village to the late Wangmei Rajkumar, former acting chief of Namsang village, Kapchen Rajkumar served as the member of the Legislative Assembly from the erstwhile Khonsa North Assembly Constituency during 1985-1990.
He completed his early education at Ramakrishna Mission School, Narottamnagar, Deomali, and later at Government Higher Secondary School, Khonsa. He also undertook a commercial pilot training course at Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi.
