Dharamshala, Jan. 1 -- In a major crackdown against illegal timber transportation, the Dehra Forest Department seized four vehicles laden with illegally sourced wood during a late-night naka (checkpoint) operation at Kaloha.

According to officials, the Sadwan Block team of the Dehra Forest Range had set up a checkpoint late last night when they intercepted three pickup trolleys and one truck. The vehicles were found transporting timber without valid documents and were heading towards Amb when stopped during checking.

Forest Department officials informed that the operation was carried out by Block Officer Sushil Kumar, Sunil Kumar, forest guards Rajesh and Meenakshi, along with Pragpur Beat official Dinesh Kumar. During the action, a picku...
