Mumbai, Feb. 6 -- The Maharashtra Forest Department, with assistance from Mumbai Police, arrested a suspect with a live crocodile and a spotted turtle from a house in the Juhu area of Mumbai. The accused, Imran Ismail Shaikh, is being questioned by the police under provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act.
A senior official of the Thane Forest Department said on Friday that Crime Branch Unit 9 had received information about illegal possession of a crocodile and a turtle at a house located in Morgai Shankar Chawl in Juhu.
