Dimapur, Sept. 5 -- Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police, in a joint operation, seized foreign-origin cigarettes worth Rs 1.29 crore in Tening area under Peren district, an Assam Rifles release said today.
The illegally imported cigarettes were seized from a truck. One person has been arrested in this connection.
The seized consignment was handed over to the agencies concerned for further investigation and necessary action.
