Foreign national held in Bengaluru with Rs 10 cr worth MDMA
Bengaluru, June 13 -- In a major breakthrough in the fight against narcotics, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) and Chikkajala Police on Friday seized a large consignment of MDMA valued at Rs 10 crore in the international market. The accused, a foreign national, was apprehended while attempting to circulate the banned substance in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh told reporters that the accused had arrived in India via Delhi a few years ago and had travelled to Bengaluru with the seized consignment. "It is a matter of grave concern that such a large quantity of drugs has been brought from a distant location.
