Kochi, Aug. 29 -- An international media delegation from Germany, Switzerland and Austria is visiting Kerala and Tamil Nadu under the union Ministry of Tourism's familiarisation programme, aimed at promoting India as a global tourism destination. The visit, organised with the support of the Indian Embassy in Hamburg, has been timed with the Onam festival, giving the delegation an opportunity to experience Kerala's rich and vibrant cultural traditions.
"It is the objective of the Ministry of Tourism to ensure effective marketing of India as a global tourism destination while ensuring inbound tourists receive the best of Indian hospitality," said Venkateshan, Deputy Director General and Regional Director (South), Ministry of Tourism.
