Hyderabad, Feb. 18 -- The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) seized foreign currency worth Rs 22 lakh from a passenger at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, on Tuesday.

The passenger, identified as Amir Ahmed, was travelling from Hyderabad to Dubai when CISF officials became suspicious and conducted a thorough inspection. Upon discovery of the undeclared currency, authorities immediately confiscated it and detained Ahmed for further questioning, airport official source said.

Investigations are underway to determine the source and intended use of the foreign currency. Further details are awaited.
