Ranchi, Dec. 20 -- : Jharkhand currently reels under intense cold conditions, with large parts of the state witnessing a sharp drop in temperatures accompanied by dense fog and cold wave-like situations. The combined impact of western disturbances, snowfall in northern India, and moisture-laden winds from the southeast has led to a significant change in the weather pattern across the state, severely affecting daily life.

According to the Meteorological Centre, Ranchi, dense fog and severe cold conditions are likely to prevail in 14 districts over the next three days.
