Rio de Janeiro, Nov. 20 -- Luciano Acosta and Kevin Serna scored first-half goals as Fluminense clinched a 2-1 home victory over leader Flamengo in Brazil's Serie A.
Former Boca Juniors midfielder Acosta put Fluminense ahead by lifting a first-time effort from the edge of the area over the head of goalkeeper Agustin Rossi and into the far corner.
The second goal came after Rossi failed to control a routine back pass, leaving Colombian forward Serna with an easy tap-in.
Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Jorginho pulled a goal back from the penalty spot, but Fluminense held on to secure its 16th win of the campaign.
