Jerusalem, Oct. 1 -- The large flotilla aid mission to Gaza rejected all calls late Tuesday by Israeli authorities to halt its advance, as it sought to break through its naval blockade saying it was nearing a "critical zone" and bracing for an Israeli intervention.
The 47-boat 'Global Sumud Flotilla' is carrying more than 500 activists, including the Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg, parliamentarians and lawyers.
The convoy is expected to reach the Strip this week, coinciding with Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, which begins Wednesday evening, reports Times of Israel.
