Hanoi, Oct. 31 -- Heavy rains and floods have left 13 people dead, 11 missing, and 34 injured across several central provinces of Vietnam, the Vietnam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority reported Friday.
More than 116,000 houses remained inundated, 56 others collapsed or were swept away, and nearly 150 houses were damaged, according to the report.
The floods also submerged nearly 4,900 hectares of rice and other crops, damaged around 790 hectares of fruit trees, and killed more than 17,700 livestock and poultry, the report added.
Power outages have affected over 438,000 households in four provinces and cities, according to the report.
