Hamirpur (UP), Nov. 13 -- An 89-megawatt floating solar power plant will be installed at the Maudaha Dam in Hamirpur district here in Uttar Pradesh which will be the first in Bundelkhand and the second in the state, a UP New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (NEDA) officer said here on Thursday.
NEDA Project Manager RP Ojha said that the plant will generate electricity by floating on all four sides. He said that the government is installing solar power plants in Thana Chowki villages and other government institutions in the district to promote solar energy.
