Shimla, May 10 -- All flights to and from Shimla, Kullu-Manali, and Kangra airports have been cancelled until May 15, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) said on Friday.
The decision comes after the start of Operation Sindoor, a nationwide security effort that has led to the temporary closure of 24 airports across North, West, and Central India.
Airports in Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jammu, Leh, Srinagar, Ludhiana, and Bhatinda are also closed. These steps were taken to ensure the safety of passengers and airspace during a time of heightened security alert.
