Chennai, March 30 -- A SpiceJet flight from Jaipur, with 82 passengers on board,
made an emergency landing at the Chennai airport after it suffered a minor tyre
damage on Sunday.
Airport sources said all the passengers were safe.
The flight SG-9046 left Jaipur airport at around 0200 hrs and landed safely at 0546 hrs,
reports quoting a statement from SpiceJet Airlines said.
After take-off and when the flight was ready for airborne, the Air Traffic Control (ATC)
authorities informed the flight crew about a piece of tyre found on the runway.
Despite this, the flight continued to destination as all operations and other parameters
were found to be normal by the flight crew.
