Madrid, May 16 -- It was the early hours of Friday morning when a happy FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick faced the press after the 2-0 win away to Espanyol that ensured his side this season's La Liga title.

Second-half goals from Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez - the first a trademark cut inside and curling shot from Yamal - gave Barca the win that leaves it seven points clear of Real Madrid with just two matches to play.

Speaking to the press, Flick celebrated the title, but was already looking ahead to next season.

"There will be five or six weeks off for the players, and it's important to rest. I'm very proud of the team, a team where everyone works hard."
