Rio De Janeiro, May 26 -- Late goals from Giorgian de Arrascaeta and Ayrton Lucas gave Flamengo a 2-0 away win over leader Palmeiras in Brazil's Serie A championship.
De Arrascaeta put the visitors ahead by converting a 73rd-minute penalty after he was dragged down by Murilo Cerqueira inside the area on Sunday.
Ayrton doubled the advantage when he combined with Wallace Yan on the counterattack before drilling a low 12-yard shot that beat goalkeeper Weverton at his near post.
The result at Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo leaves Flamengo second in the 20-team standings with 21 points, one behind Palmeiras after 10 matchdays.
