Nashik, Nov. 30 -- A five-year-old boy died after an iron gate at the Krishna Residency Society collapsed on him at Gaikawad Nagar in Jain Colony on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Ayanish Sachin Gavai. The incident occurred around 1 pm when Ayanish was playing in the society premises. According to police, the iron gate suddenly gave way and fell on him, causing severe injuries.
Sachin Gavai, a security guard, along with other residents, rushed the child to the district hospital, where doctors examined him and declared him dead.
Reports indicate that the gate had not been repaired for several months.
