Kyiv, Feb. 1 -- Emergency shutdowns have been introduced in five regions of Ukraine, as well as in Russia-controlled Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Zaporozhye (Zaporizhzhia) region, Ukrainian power grid operator Ukrenergo said on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, air raid alerts went off across Ukraine, with blasts heard in the Kiev, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi and Kharkov (Kharkiv) regions.
"Emergency shutdowns have been introduced in Kharkov, Sumy, Poltava, Donetsk [Ukraine-controlled part], Dnepropetrovsk [Dnipropetrovsk], Zaporozhye [Ukraine-controlled part] and Kirovograd [Kirovohrad] regions," Ukrenergo said on Telegram.
