Kathmandu, Sept. 9 -- Nepali Congress President and former prime minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba was beaten badly by a mob of Gen Z protesters, and paraded on the road, with blood pouring down his forehead, while his wife and the country's foreign minister Arzu Deuba was manhandled by the mob, in Kathmandu today.

A video of the former PM, with his shirt torn and bloodied and being dragged away by the protesters is viral on social media.

The five-time former PM, Deuba was paraded on the streets by the mob, before being handed over to the security forces.

One video showed him sitting down in a grass field, with the security forces surrounding him.

There is no news of where the protesters have taken his wife Dr Arzu Rana Deuba.
