Ongole, May 4 -- Five persons were killed and three others injured in two accidents, which took place at the same place, on the Chennai-Kolkata highway, near here in the wee hours on Sunday.
Police said that an egg-laden lorry, which was going to Nellore from Bhavanagiri in Telangana state, overturned on the highway.
At the same time, another lorry rammed the overturned, egg-laden lorry. Three persons who were in the overturned, egg-laden lorry were killed in the incident. The deceased were identified as Ramanaiah (60), R Babu (40) and Nagendra (45).
