Raipur, Dec. 7 -- Five young men from Jashpur district lost their lives in a devastating late-night collision on National Highway-43, after a car crashed head-on into a heavy trailer near Pandripani bend in Duldula police station limits.
The impact was so severe that the car was crushed almost entirely into the front of the trailer, prompting police and locals to describe the scene as one of the district's most alarming road accidents in recent months.
The crash occurred past midnight between December 6 and 7. Villagers who heard the noise alerted the police, following which rescue teams and local residents worked together to pull the occupants out of the mangled vehicle. All five were rushed to hospital but were declared dead on arrival....
