Shahjahanpur, Dec. 25 -- Five people riding on a single motorcycle were killed after being hit by a speeding train while crossing a railway track in Shahjahanpur today evening, police said.
The incident occurred around 6:30 pm near a railway crossing at Atsaliya in the Roza police station area.
According to officials, all five victims were riding on a single motorcycle and were attempting to cross the tracks when the accident took place.
A Garib Rath Express travelling from Bareilly to Lucknow struck the motorcycle, killing all five riders on the spot. Railway and civil police teams rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident.
