Dharashiv (Osmanabad), Nov. 22 -- Five persons, including three women, lost their lives while eight others sustained serious injuries in a tragic road accident on the Solapur-Hyderabad highway in Dharashiv (Osmanabad) district today morning.
The injured have been shifted to Solapur Government Hospital, where several are reported to be in critical condition.
According to police investigations, the victims were residents of Olay village in Solapur district and were travelling in a cruiser jeep to visit a temple in Naldurg. The accident occurred when the vehicle reached the Indore area of Osmanabad and suffered a sudden tyre burst, causing the driver to lose control. The jeep then collided with a tractor and overturned on the road.
