Jaunpur (UP), May 30 -- Five persons, including three women, were killed and 14 others injured when a private bus overturned after hitting the divider in the Baksha area in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the incident took place on Thursday night at around 1:45 AM when the driver of the private vehicle, going from Ramnagar Ghanshyampur to Jaunpur lost control, climbed a divider, and overturned at the underpass located at Chakpatela village near Shambhuganj Bazar. "While two women and two men died on the spot, a woman died in the district hospital. 14 people were injured in the accident," they said.
