Chapra (Bihar), June 16 -- At least five people were killed and 15 others injured when a pickup van skidded and overturned near Bajitpur village under Nayagaon police station area in Saran district on Monday morning.
The police said the pickup van was carrying passengers and maize to Hajipur. The driver of the van lost control following which it overturned.
Five passengers, including a woman, were killed in the accident whereas 15 others sustained injuries.
The injured were sent to Sonpur referral hospital for treatment. The identity of the deceased was being ascertained.
An FIR was lodged at the police station concerned.
