New Delhi, Nov. 25 -- At least five people, including a woman, were injured after the roof of a new structure on a four-storey house collapsed in Jwala Nagar, northeast Delhi, on Tuesday morning, a fire official said.
According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), they received a call about the incident about 9:50 am, prompting the deployment of five fire tenders.
A rescue operation was launched by the team to ascertain whether anyone was trapped in the debris, DFS said.
Delhi Police reported that Avinish, one of the family members, said construction work was underway on the third floor to build a hall when the roof gave way.
