Bhubaneswar, Dec. 25 -- The Odisha government has decided to upgrade five existing Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into Utkarsh ITIs under the Utkarsh ITI Scheme.

The decision was approved by the state cabinet on Wednesday night at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The initiative aims to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by modernising government ITIs and developing them as zonal ITIs to ensure inclusive growth and future-ready skill development aligned with emerging industry demands.
