Pune, Nov. 13 -- At least five persons were killed and 10 others injured in a major accident involving a collision of eight vehicles, in Pune's Navale Bridge area on Thursday.
Two of the vehicles caught fire.
Pune police and emergency services responded to the accident and multiple ambulances and fire tenders were pressed into action.
The accident occurred on the Selfie Point on the Katraj Dehu Road Bypass of Pune-Bangalore Highway, within the jurisdiction of Sinhagad Police Station.
Police said that 10 people were injured, and were admitted to hospital.
DCP Sambhaji Kadam said at least five deaths have been reported so far.
