Bhubaneswar, Oct. 18 -- Five candidates have so far submitted a total of seven nomination papers for the Nuapada Assembly by-election, scheduled to be held on November 11.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) sources said that yesterday, independent candidate Ashraya Mahananda submitted his nomination paper.
Today, four more candidates filed their papers: Shukadev Dandsena (Odisha Janata Dal), Purushottam Behera (Independent), Ghasiram Majhi (Indian National Congress), and JayDholakia (Bharatiya Janata Party). Both Majhi and Dholakia have filed two sets ofnominations.
